"According to Mr Migereko, thermal generation is expected to rise to 300MW by 2009. A 50MW heavy fuel oil fired plant will be commissioned in April, followed by another one in July 2007 while another 100MW one will be commissioned in 2009.
The last set will be powered by fuel from Uganda's oil reserves, whose extraction is expected to have commenced by then."
