Do you mean competitors in the CVT business, or gearboxes in general?

Failing to give a contract to Torotrak could mean the company continues to manufacture its own style of gearboxes. Torotrak's loss is not necessarily a gain for a rival company!

Maybe you could give some details which would be meaningful and jog somebody's memory. I don't mean to be derogatory, but phrases like an un-named director of an unknown company didn't give a major contract for we don't know what or when to Torotrak, its meaningless.

Director Joe Bloggs - Maybe he just signed a contract with Ford.
XYZ Motors Ltd - Maybe they just signed for gearboxes from ZF
The n'th of Dec - Maybe somebody remembers an RNS announcement on that date

Sorry, but you can't expect much help if you don't give people anything to work with.
