From the little information presented, I would be more tempted by DriveTec if their solution is electromechanical, as cars are going more and more drive-by-wire. If the transmission is effectively run by the battery then it cannot be a much of a drain on the system. One thing Torotrak investors do not lack is confidence. But I have just looked at the 2002 ten-baggers thread, and there has been plenty of misplaced confidence last year.
Oil is getting short: Venezuala, Iraq, Afghanistan pipeline, East Timor ..., problems everywhere. I have been around this thread for about a year. I have seen plenty of circumstantial evidence in Torotrak's favour, but nevertheless circumstantial. This is a bit of a shame, since the fundamentals of oil dictate that the market is ripe for efficient transmissions.
