Well I take your point about the Ford/Getrag jv, but I'm sure they have space for a TRK line....
I would imagine that the prototype boxes are produced at at TRK.
Regarding the product's future relevance, the original launch material at flotation talked of a significant production cost saving over a classic 4 speed AT. (20% from memory) Quite how this stacks up against the new generation 5 and 6 speed ATs and even the mooted 8 speeds, I cannot say, but perhaps crystalclear can help on that. From a simplistic point of view I would have thought that if it were cheaper than a 4 speed it would be even cheaper than a 6! ;-}
If the product still shows fuel economy gains, and fab cost savings I would still be quite optimistic. Lots of ifs, I know.
