TRK had set aside space for limited production (100k units per year) but I believe that this is no longer on the cards. Production will (as and when or if, should you prefer) probably be taken care of by Tier One suppliers such as Aisin or ZF etc who will produce for the manufacturers. One of their licencees will be happy to supply the rotors etc as they have been doing development on ceramic components. There should be some greater detail on the TRK site.
Regarding size, the series 2 transmissions were tested in Ford Mondeos so FWD should not be a problem.
