IF the story about no production until 2007/8 really is true (and I have some doubts - I think it will probably be sooner) then I certainly agree with you about closing down some development work to reduce cash burn.
I hope that the new CEO will do a thorough review of the company's future potential, and be prepared if necessary to cut the workforce, painful though that may be.
Also, I know that a lot has been made of his potential to 'sell' IVT due to his links with various OEMs, but I hope that marketing activities are restricted to the minimum necessary to ensure that IVT takes off. We don't want to see the company's cash wasted on unnecessary marketing either.
On the other hand, if Torotrak still seem prepared to maintain their current cash burn then I think that will indicate that they believe that production will actually start earlier than they have recently indicated. It would after all be better for the ultimate long-term potential of the company if they could maintain the full present development team.
