grebo, sorry to get up your snoofter, but electric/Hybrid/Alternative technology isn't out there, nor is it likely to be for at least 10/15 years. Then of course the darn 'electric/Hybrid/Alternative technology vehicle' won't appeal to the driver, so he/she will do the obvious, get someone else to do the driving, ie, train/bus/sky-rail, you name it, that's what it will be.
There must be pleasure in the driving experience, otherwise they will as I say, let someone drive for them in one way or another.
Electric/Hybrid/Alternative?! Forget it, it just will not have a large enough market. THAT'S what you are forgetting! It's what we NEED, but is it what we WANT!
