I don't see how people can continue to be so bullish. The company themselves had said they expect production to start in 2007/2008 and how often have you seen a company make a prediction that far ahead that doesn't slip ?
IVT only has a limited lifespan - it's only necessary when petrol engines are being used which have a very limited rev range at which they run most efficiently.
With any form of car (hybrid, fuel cell, battery, etc) that uses electric motors it's simply not required since electric motors are efficient over a very much larger rev range. And anyway, it's not so important for them to run at their most efficient since they produce very much lower emmissions if any at all.
It doesn't matter how good their product is - if it won't be launched while there is actually a market for it then what's the point ?
