Many thanks for a most interesting post - I've just had a quick look and was pleased to find that the summaries are in English!
I thought the patent 'CVT for 4 wheel vehicles' was particularly interesting because, in spite of CVT being in the title, the 'boxes actually contain full toroids. It is also intersting because BMW are clearly involved in the development themselves - for some reason I had assumed that they would be working with Getrag.
We already know from TRK that there is a competition between at least 2 tier 1s to supply an OEM (presumably Ford) with 4 wheel drive toroboxes. I think it possible that there is also a race on between BMW and Lexus to get IVT into a sedan.
One way or another I am confident that there will be good news by the beginning of May at latest - and hopefully at the Detroit Motor show this month!
Best wishes - BJ
