Everybody is telling you about the delights of having kids. For the contrarian view, as seems to be my habit on the Toro threads ... a friend of mine told me that he never understood battered children - how parents could do that - until he had his own. After a period of sheer delight after my son was born, I slowly learnt what he meant!
