THIS IS THE NEW ARMORGROUP BB!!!
Shavian - Mon, 19 Dec 05 :
The success of the Iraqi election completely changes the dynamic here. This was an unexpected Christmas prezzie for G Dubya Bush and shows that the Sunnis are realising that it's sensible to be dragged reluctantly into central government to try to save what they can in the future shape of Iraq which will be largely Shia-dominated with an increasingly semi-detached Kurdistan up north. It may well be that in the long run they finish up as three states, but the next phase is all about rubbng along togetether and getting rid of the coalition troops. It's largely going to go the Shia way so maybe Iran will not interfere too much while they work it out for themselves. So what about ARG? With the US likely to start reducing troop numbers in Q2 2006 (trust me!), an not wanting to leave behind a complete shambles, a greater emphasis will fall on the PMCs to help deliver training, convoy escort, oilfield security, mine clearance and VIP guarding. ARG's reputation continues to be virtually unblemished, so it stands to reason that they are as well placed as anyone to pick up lots of this extra work. I'm with OK,Yah on this one. Trouble is I last topped up at over £2 and didn't use my stop-loss (prat) so for me it's either a case of sweating it out or jumping in to average down. I'm coming round to the latter view, especially if the newsflow continues to improve. For new money I rate ARG a raging buy at this price. Happy Christmas all.
