The turnaround is on at ELEKTRON

Just lets please try and leave this thread for info on EKT or comparisons.

Some things are said out of haste and regretted later.

Anyway i dont know whether you guys ever check out ii investor which used to be know as iii at Ample.

The bb was always very slow and not much input. Nothing compares to this bb. Interesting though slightly more activity albeit at a snails pace to this bb this year and lately at that. 2003 there was virtually no activity at all. More investors are on bord EKT now.

In particular Tiger...he has had a bad run on some of his shares but is an astute investor and i believe has a position in EKT. New investors are looking good for 2005.

eps even without the neg. goodwill write back at interim stage was good, however in the outlook it was stressed that the turnover from Arcolelectric was made up of a back log of sales which would not be repeated.
A long term strong hold as when further cost reductions come through from moving production to China the shares should rise further. Up 1p today.

Could you please tell me what the following statement means:

"Elektron Plc (the "Company" or "Elektron"), the AIM quoted components and electronics group, was informed today of the following purchases of ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares")."

Does this mean that the actual value of this company's shares is 5x what the share price suggests it is, therefore meaning the comparison with other companies is useless? Any advice on this greatly appreciated.

Money finger on ADFN, cannot be classed as a ramper, he continually informs us of how many shares he has bought and they DO appear before the end of the day. This means he is either

A) working for ADVFN
b) a MM, (very unlikely)
c) telling the truth and is accumulating big time in this company.

In the last few weeks, with what he has tod us he has bought in the region of 100,000 shares in this, he probably holds a lot more!!

14-07-04 COMPARISON WITH DELTRON DONT MISS THIS ONE 1
The more in depth you look at the two companies, the wider the gap grows. Elektron is fitter, the fundamentals are better and the prosects far brighter.

Deltron is in the Electronic and electrical sector the same as EKT, the interims came out a short while ago.

At the halfway stage Deltron's turnover was £31.81 million and produced profit before goodwill, exceptional items and tax of 0.82 million. Basic eps of 0.2p..adjusted eps of 1.24p..gross margins were 32.5%...share price mid about 68p Deltron is on a forward pe in excess of 25 !

The basic eps for Deltron looks very sick indeed at 0.2p...indepth look at the figures shows Deltron in loss! Surely then EKT should be on a pe of over 25 and Deltron a pe of 6....the roles reversed!

EKT is in far better position than Deltron...the pre tax profit and eps should beat Deltron at the interim stage in Sept. Margins are far better at EKT being 41% as against 32.5%. Moreover margins should improve further going forward when EKT transfer assembly to China/Tunisia.

Curent sales at time of reporting were far better for Elektron....up 6% for Deltron up 16% for Elektron's core activities bulgin...(treble) up 14% for arcolectric.

What is interesting...they are both in the same sector, both small
companies...prospects look far brighter for EKT yet though EKT is likely to make more eps than Deltron...EKT share price is far lower at 14.75p as against 68p for Deltron. EKT is on a pe of 6 and a forward pe of about 4 as against over 25 for Deltron!

You can see which share is seriously undervalued...Elektron!

Have to see what happens in September when more news comes out. Last set of results included an extraordinary items of negative goodwill. Trade is obviously up and costs will come down with production moving to China, but the pe ratio and fundamentals is all important.
If one looks at the trades each day, max one can buy is 25k.
Money has posted his trades and they do appear on the trades screens so I have no reason to doubt his holding, but time will tell how right one is.
I also have a fair holding in EKT so hope all goes well.
