Happy New Year one and all.
- Mc Beanburger and anyone else intersted in your demographics-based theory of population-to-market relationship:
- the study clearly fails to show any one-off changes to WORLD demographics which could mess up their predictions.
Here is one: CHINA will be the great engine of world growth and consumption by 2010-15 timescale. What is happening to 40M baby boomers like me, and those in the US, will pale into insignificance in the rise of the Chines and other far eastern 20 and 30-something middle class , in numbers 200-300 Millions of people.
If anyone is intersted in funding their pension /making a 10 year investment, stick up tyo 20% of one's cash in Emerging markets and China Funds now, and certain stocks, plus some gold, seems wise. ( Plus a fe K in McCarthy and Stone and Healthcare companies which will pay for one's old age private healthcare).
PS-
CHINA - the West have not quite realised yet, that China has no Al-Kieda worries or incipient war looming.
