The Really Useful Gold Thread

A world where 'everything fails except gold' is a world in war and turmoil. I'd prefer to see a moderate rise in gold over the years ! Wars will do for us all, so we cannot then enjoy the wealth our gold holdings may bring. Our children will have no futures. We are as likely to be mugged for our gold and have our houses stolen by armed gangs. Its not the gold-savvy who do well in such times, it is Mafias.
Maybe a move to Switzerland is then the answer. Brrr !
