You are right that it was by no means everyone - apologies to all the more measured views. I was referring to the comments to the effect that this is a bull that will run longer than anyone expects, probably because of the Russians and Asians basically (+ Sinclair's views). Today when gold went down to around 512 (which it hadn't for a little while) I decided to go short on the bounce, and did at 516. Totally wrong of course but, even worse, the decision was made with care and after due deliberation. I might as well toss a coin as try to think it through!

This is a really marvellous thread, thanks to you and many others who contribute knowledge and experience. My contribution is to say I've now gone long on both gold and oil, so perhaps everyone should sell?
