bigboyo (Post 20280) good luck with your re-entry and I hope you do not miss the potential bounce on the news anticipated any day now from Takeda.
On the other matters, firstly, CAT, unlike AZM, do not have four potential late stage blockbusters (particularly Cetilistat) in their portfolio. Secondly, I consider that investors are mainly interested in the share price, because that is what makes them an investment return; and AZM has been a poor share price/investment return duing the last two years, i.e. £1,700 invested at end of 2003 would have been worth £1,400 at the end of 2004 and £1,250 today.
Take that in the context of some of the other things I mentioned in Post 20279 and the fact the current price is actually below the price of some of the share issues; and the dilution and falling price just add insult to injury imo. Incidentally, taking up share issues only preserves the proportional holding of one's investment; it does not guarantee stability or improvement in the actual sale value of ones investment. In addition, it is a kind of contradiction in terms to have to constantly buy into share issues in order to try preserve the value of one's investment; particularly when the headline share price is falling, as with AZM during the last two years.
