It has been a long time since Takeda struck the deal with AZM and it seems an age since we received the first milestone payment. However I am of the opinion that Takeda saw the potential of Cetilistat and feared that unless they struck a deal early on, by the time their laboured trials system confirmed what they thought, some other company would have already stepped in and done a deal which excluded them totally. If they do go on to get the world rights for cetilistat
I don't think they would expect to pay any less than anyone else, in fact, as they are the only company, so far, to have made a positive move for it just maybe they would be the best partner to have. They are very much into the obesity/diabetis problem. THEY NOW KNOW, that worldwide, cetilistat is safe and works we are the ones waiting to find out if it works on the Asian population.
Surely that will be the jigsaw complete if the results are favourable.
My tip for 2006 AGK to continue a very strong recovery. Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year to everyone.
