Even if it wasn't considered a 'better' drug than Xenical, as I think someone has already pointed out previously on this thread, there is no reason why there can't be 2 drugs or more on the market for the treatment of obesity/obese diabetics, as there are many drugs for hypertension, headache, nausia etc etc. If both drugs have similar efficacy, regardless of whether or not taking one over another results in fewer side-effects, some people just respond better, or are 'better suited' to one agent than another. IMO there will be a big demand for this type of drug in the future & the market can cope with 2 or more competing drugs.
