I don't agree with that at all. Most Xenical patients don't have severe side effects - there are 11% that have them bad enough to make them quit taking it and these are lost as "customers". Reading about the longer term (6-12months)safety profile on the Xenical site the side effects tail off after a few months and then they are pretty close to a placebo for long term use. Also after a year the drug begins to become ineffectual. I'm not sure why that is, perhaps the body produces more lipase or something.
One of the problems with Xenical and Cetilistat is that is doesn't change the lifestyle of the patient and any weight loss may just be temporary. I know one person that took it and he is now as fat as he was before he started. Hardl;y scientific but I know it happens with others. Thats why accomplia may be better as it reduces calorie intake which will hopefully alter the patients life. That being said a mixture of accomplia and Cetilistat should offer rapid weight loss that stays off. Whether this works in practice has to be seen.
