Rage reveals interactive TV games deal with BSkyB
Rage Software has signed a deal with BSkyB to deliver computer games to more than five million digital satellite subscribers.
Players will be offered access to a brand new game, called Denki Blocks!, through their television sets, before it's released on any other gaming platform.
The game will be available on a pay-to-play basis on Sky's digital channels with Rage receiving a share of revenues generated through use of the game.
This agreement is part of Rage's strategy of building a large bank of content, which can then be played on traditional and emerging games platforms.
Paul Finnegan, Managing director of Rage, says: "We are delighted to have entered into this relationship with Sky and believe that the exposure gained via Sky digital satellite will help us further understand the opportunities within the interactive television market and also help significantly raise the awareness for the Denki Blocks! game brand.
"We look forward to building a long-term relationship with Sky to exploit further Rage properties on the platform in the future."
