The markets are very nervous about Korea....This could be far, far more serious than Iraq, and everybody knows it. They are seriously talking about war.
Korea have the potential to build upto four medium size neuclear warheads within 2-3 months. Yesterday they finished unsealing their reactor and started moving plutanium fuel rods. Today they have expelled all UN observers. Even more worrying is that they apparently have medium range missiles capable of carrying a nuke far beyond their borders. They have a large standing army, and could over-run the 30,000 marines in the South pretty much at their liesure, which would almost certainly provoke a pre-emptive neuclear response from the US.
This IMO could become more dangerous than the Cuban missile crisis if the DPRK can't be persuaded to back down. They have already signaled their contempt for the UN..so it's upto China and/or Russia to try and reason with them.
