i think next year will not bring about a bounce. overall i would expect a single digit drop on the indicies to account for the doom and gloom and the general bearish tendency of this market. so some downtrends followed by sideway movements. overall you would be better off short selling this market. this is not to say that long positions cannot be profitably taken for sideway movement consists of ups and downs within a channel. there would be also stocks that buch the trend rising up against the tide, some rising sharply indeed still, expect volatility to subside and that makes the process of dealing in stock more manageable. in a market like this skill will sort out the men from the boys whereas in a bull market almost anyone can profit irrespective.
