The Faraj List of Exploding Stocks Part 3.04 (FAR3)

melfaraj - Mon, 27 Dec 04 :

Inchcape

Shares in Inchcape, the car dealership group, have had a strong run, climbing more than 20 per cent to £19.30 since we last tipped them on November 7.

Two directors took advantage of the rise in the share price last week. Peter Johnson, the chief executive, exercised 104,166 options at 384p, before selling them at £18.25 on December 21. On the same day Alan Ferguson, the group finance director, exercised 52,083 options at 384p before also selling them at £18.25. Investors might want to lock in some profits now but we believe it worth retaining a holding.

Inchcape is well placed to weather a downturn in UK consumer spending, given its global operations. Earlier this month it said profits for the full-year would exceed analysts' expectations
