The Faraj List of Exploding Stocks Part 3.04 (FAR3)

Mel,Mum & Fings,
Whilst on the subject of "pet" shares and posters, I do agree that most us come here for your views on our stock pickings (held or not) as alot of us think we can spot the next superstock on one or two criteria but our TA skills (and also perhaps our fundamentals assessments) are just not good enough to make a practical assessment and be able to honestly appreciate the results for a firm decision one way or the other.
Personally, I think I can do some of the basics but only at the "Janet and John type" level in reality so hence I come here from time to time to see if there perspectives that will help me make further decisions about the next steps.
When I discovered FAR2, I was amazed at the wealth of new information and the really interesting interpretations being posted. I don't know about others but books and theory just don't do it for me and hands on or clear simple explanations such as those here in real situations help me of a lot.
Now I can appreciate even more the many vital elements involved in stock picking which still reply alot on timing (an entry point can be much too early is one of my classic problems) and TA certainly can help with that. I also believe, as did Napoleon, that a lucky General can be a lot more useful than a good one, which is how I tend to see myself in picking stocks, but as a certain golfer also once said, "it seems that the more I practice, the luckier I get"....
I could go on and on (some might say I already have) but I hope you are getting my drift here...the whole thing about buying stocks is as much about individual views on situations (one man's treat is another's poison), opportunities, timing, luck, half empty v half full glasses and most important keeping an open mind and using all one's "skills" as well as learning to listen to others who may have a contrarian view to one's own......
I see your excellent contributions from the TA side as helping to support key decisions on buying, holding and selling. They are not always right or wrong, my God if they were, then I doubt we would have the benefit of your postings here as you would all be incredibly rich and off enjoying your wealth elsewhere....
I do from time to time ask about stocks I am interested in but also find yours and others views an great way to investigate lots of stocks I might never have otherwise considered.
Anyway, enough said from me...thanks for everything last year and let's hope the new thread hits new highs and continues to educate, inform and entertain all who visit here.....
