"Separately, Abbott Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:ABT - News) said it had asked the U.S. Department of Agriculture in October to approve its similar diagnostic test, which is already sold in 12 countries, including Britain and Japan.
Officials of Abbott told Reuters they believe the finding of mad cow disease in the United States will increase interest by USDA in its test."
I assume this is the Enfer test. Anyone know how quickly the Dept of Agriculture acts on these approvals?"
