Jarvis plc was notified in correspondence dated 19 December 2006 by UBS AG,
under s.198 of the Companies Act 1985 (the 'Act'), that:
as at close of business on 18 December 2006, UBS AG acting through its business
group and the legal entities detailed below had an interest in a total of
6,789,127 Ordinary shares . None of the relevant shares are shares in which UBS
AG is interested by virtue of Section 208(5) of the Act.
Of these 6,789,127 shares:
6,430,719 shares representing 3.88% of the issued share capital are held by UBS
AG London Branch;
358,408 shares representing 0.22% of the issued capital are held by UBS Glonal
Asset management Life Limited
The total holding of 6,789,127 shares represents 4.09% of the issued capital
of the Company.
