Centrica has agreed to sell its telecommunications business Onetel to Carphone Warehouse for up to £154m. Of this, £49m is contingent upon the achievement by Centrica of certain performance targets for the sale of telecoms products to British Gas customers over the next three years.
Carphone Warehouse has also bought Tele2's fixed-line operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland for £8.7m.
Honeywell has made an agreed bid for sensor group First Technology worth 275p per share. First also announced an interim loss of £20.6m
