My New Year's resolution is to learn about TA and be able to contribute to this excellent thread, rather than just feed off it.
Mel's charts obviously provide a good starting point.
Terms like "candlesticks" make sense just looking at the charts, and I find myself drawing imaginary trend lines on the charts, which (I trust) is a start?
I just hope negative comments from the likes of Smitthy don't discourage postings. They seem very rare here, and long may that continue!
