The Faraj List of Exploding Stock Part 2.03

barnet,
i was rather reluctant to issue my list. it is a bit like selecting the top muscician of the year from among musicians playing diferent musical instruments. do you really believe the winner is the best?! best in what!
added to that a lot of the stock that make up the focus of interest in this thread need to be traded actively. two traders can dabble in the same stock starting the first day next year and report quite differing results by the end of the year. to minimise the influence of the trading factor i opted mostly for stock that can be held with minimum of trading.
this year the stock market was dominated by the market as a whole rising and raising with it many downtrodden stock. one could have simply found stock lying in the bottom or stock that had been ranging for some time to see them rising well. this mode of trading worked for this year.
i suggest for next year a different approach would be required, one that is more dynamic and requiring traders to draw more heavily on ta principles. one that allows an investor to buy in and sell out of the same stock for a number of times over the course of one year. this mode of trading is known as 'swing trading', its horizon is short to medium, but not very short. this makes it interesting and exciting to apply. there are a couple of interesting books at least on swing trading, 'the master swing trader' by alan farley is an excellent book and one that draws on a never ending number of real charts. however this book is strictly for the advanced reader, one who had cut his teeth on the textbooks of ta.
