I asked a shopaholic friend (with no interest in the SM) to report back after her Saturday shopping expedition. It has to be said that she reported back that she could never remember the shops being so empty the Saturday before Xmas. No problem parking, plenty of help and loads of sales bargains too. The local Argos was "nearly empty".
Meanwhile internet shopping is booming.
The stores are taking a right pounding and I recommend not being too exposed to retail. Game might just be an exception but there cannot be that many retailers that are.
