My portfolio is spread across sectors, and my hold in the mining
sector for the last couple of years is CMR. I've got to be careful
what I say now, as I don't want to be accused of ramping.
CMR has a mine in Spain with excellent potential. Newmont carried
out a study with a view to possibly buying, but changed their mind
and withdrew due to a change of priorities, rather than a problem
with the mine. This caused the share price to fall.
The price appears to have bottomed now and has started to turn as
good news from recent studies are released. 2003 could be a good year
for CMR. My only misgiving, is all the enthusiasm on its BB.
The shares that I have had the worst results on, are those where I have
been swept along with all the excitement, and ignored the chart indicators. RON was such an example.
So an important lesson has be learnt, be guided by the charts, not the sentiment.
