By now those who followed this thread over last year would know the tongue in cheek title. The content and discussions have been not so frivolous though. Why did I then opt for such a title in the first place. Answer, it was the doom and gloom that prevailed over this market. I just wanted something bright and flashy to cheer us a litle bit. And I am continuing the same theme by selecting a sequal name. Often sequals do not stand up to the level of the original, and here lies the twist in the tale of selecting the title for this year!!
The orientation of the analysis and selection of stock last year were rooted in technical analysis, with some basic fundamentals. This approach will be continued for this year. By nature most high volatility stock tend to be small capitalisation stock.TA can be particularly useful in the context of analysing such stock where often fundamental analysis may be lacking as larger stock get the lion share of the attention of fundamental analysts.
As ever, all participants are welcome to ask questions, bring to attention useful stocks, hopefully with sensible technical or fundamental analysis of their own.
Complaints were raised last year regarding the general orientation of this thread and no doubt would be raised this year. My answer has been that this is a rather specialised thread. There is no attempt or pretence to cover wide grounds for obvious reasons. Overall, the discussions and the language used has been of good order. Lets hope to keep it this way.
