The "Appearance" Agenda

ace I am wondering more on that Saudi supply story than weather, where did it suddenly all come from and why pump it out when traders are relaxed.. anyway at around these levels it seems it fancies 200MA to that 40$, but I am not holding my breath for too long as that kind of volatility is screaming for a big move either way (too many 'biggest' drops and rises)..

On acc/dist, phew too long but let me try.. the way pros and some 'published practice' ;) out there looks at it for the stock market is 'always on and off' mode.. it seems like a natural explanation that market makers have the greatest visibility, intraday as well as longer-term scales.. Big orders filling.. That there never is a rush for the smartness/informed, that they see it better than anyone, and that they still have (re: they demand) delayed reporting x times NMS for their advantage, that they can sustain shakes, frequent testing and so on.

The 'theory' is they accumulate pretty low (doh!;-) and far ahead of others (falling market cases too) and after some high volume has gone through it isn't made obvious immediatelly. Similarly, the weak holders are shocked with the gains or volatility/shakes, and narrow price ranges on high volume suck in a lot at the most likely the top of bullishness.. There are lot of interpretations and scenarios, and explanations etc.. the common theme here is that there was a huge supply given to UK market at least (insurers for one). Would you dump it lower and risk the losses? No we race higher of course, and the 'risk' is distributed steadily and usually with foresight of some big components or their combination ability to take the market down/up rapidly or in prolonged mode..

Tops as ts mentioned are pretty round affairs these days, not spikes. Succesful bear tests are usually masked with strength following for a couple of days and before you know it : great news, bang.. and so on and on. There is some silly and interesting literature out their on the things we are not supposed to know. The top one is when the distribution or accumulation in a stock is over I guess, aka the Holy Grail.. you capture that, you're pretty much buying a whole country in few years. Why make a short story long? Well we are talking a lot about breadth, ticks, volume etc here and I am just gobsmacked looking at x solutions out there claiming to make this process easy and within reach of anyone who wants to pay for it.. I just don't get it why there is a need to sell something that can clock, purely trading that system, certainly more than 500/1500/whatever $ per crystal (aka 'easiest game in the world') licence any day..

(edit: this is why I am banging on about volume constantly, sometimes models, volatility, anything that is visible.. odd and sign of big money, even after it is gone through..)
