Buses in the UK
Arriva is one of the UK's largest bus operators, with a fleet of over 6,000 buses. We operate bus services in London where we are the capital's biggest bus operator, providing nearly 19 per cent of the network.
Outside London, Arriva's local bus services operate in major urban areas like Liverpool, Leeds, Leicester, Glasgow and Newcastle. There is a strong presence in the Midlands and Home Counties, with a mix of interurban trunk routes and market town urban networks. Arriva buses also provide important links in rural areas like North Wales.
Our bus businesses work with local authorities, employers, new home and industrial park developers and local residents' groups to try to ensure services best meet local needs and are of benefit to a wide range of people.
Safety first
Stringent engineering regimes ensure that our fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, so that customers are assured of a reliable service. The safety of customers and all our 17,000 employees is a main priority, whether on the road or working in workshop and office environments in support roles.
