snob - thats why Sainsburys are loosing the plot. Tescos Hayes were well stocked up on the 24th December. In fact we bought a turkey half an hour before close time at quarter price.
Much as I dont like Tescos on somethings - like the price of sweet corn - being much dearer than Asda, just for one example, I have to hand it to Tescos that they are number one in being stocked up on the shelves. Thus the coming Christmas trading statement is going to be very very good - I can see £3.35p per share after the trading statement. Tescos share price lost ground yesterday because of Sainsburys, WHSmiths, and the general retail sector, but they are the number one supermarket and like Chelsea they are going to stay at number one - not that I like Chelsea either - but it will be a fact of life.
Chelsea should win everything in site - mind you if you had £200m to spend on players - if you dont win everything you have got to be a particularly bad manager, and Tescos shares by the end of 2005 should be £4.00.
It is a gravy train for Tescos and us shareholders.
Easy money.
