Tesco Plc (TSCO LN): Britain's biggest supermarket chain may be active. UBS AG, which rates Tesco as its preferred pick, said the food retail sector remains solid ``with trading and modest price inflation continuing to support like-for-like sales.'' Tesco shares increased 5.75 pence, or 1.4 percent, to 410.25.

The bank also said that reports from unquoted retailers such as John Lewis suggest ``there seems better visibility than most'' for DSG International Plc and Kesa Electricals Plc.
