Tesco Only Good Value FTSE 100 Retail Stock

0945 GMT [Dow Jones] Tesco (TSCO.LN) is probably the only FTSE 100 stock amongst either the general or food retailers that offers good value at present, "despite the recent rise in the share price," says Seymour Pierce. Notes some commentators were worried that 3Q like for likes fell back to +5.5% from +6.7%, but asks "what retailer wouldn't give its eye teeth for a like-for-like improvement of this magnitude?" Doesn't think the current rating of around 16.5x fully reflects its future prospects, and reiterates its outperform rating. Shares +0.2% at 327.25p. (PBA)
