It is quite an expense staff ,vans ,space etc so £5 delivery does not quite cover it but there is another angle on this.
When i worked there although i was in management(the very word see`s psps go red with rage)i often helped out home shopping choosing to deliver as it seemed easier than picking stock and getting out of the store breathing good country air was a real stress buster but back to my point i was thinking all this just for a fiver but one drop was to an old folks home they had bought over £300 worth if we did not deliver would they have shopped at our store when there was a lot of other outlets closer so the point is its not just the £5 but also the profit on the goods .
