20/9/04 edison report:
“tecteon is in advanced negotiations with potential customers evaluating its core technologues on demonstrator units. By q1 2005 it expects to have signed contracts with three to four cusomters for its core products, including that recently agreed with the telco equipment manufacturer” i.e. 2-3 new customers plus the telco one now that it has been announced..

24/12 rns- how many different ways of saying the same thing?
a)"The strategy is beginning to pay dividends and, in the second half of 2004, the Company has not only signed two new contracts but has successfully completed and delivered the projects. We expect to be in a position to announce further orders in the first quarter of 2005”
b)”We are currently in negotiations with several other parties and are confident that we will be in a position to announce new agreements in the first quarter of 2005”
c)” a significant number of companies have shown considerable interest in our voice quality and comfort listening software modules and solutions. A number of these customers have either evaluated or are in the process of evaluating our technologies and we are optimistic regarding the outlook”
d) “Our unique products have been well received, we continue to ratchet up marketing and enquiry levels remain high. We have won our first orders, we now have an income stream, albeit small, and we expect to be in a position to announce further orders shortly.”

The joys of semantics:
-timescales: what is “shortly” vs “Q1 2005”…..
also
-number of orders: what is “several” customer orders vs “three to four customers” vs “further orders”

Me I will stick with several as it refers in the dictionary to a specific number...

Consisting of a number more than two, but not very many;

And “more than two” is in plain english 3 contracts (or more…..)

So on 20/9/04 we were expecting 2-3 new ones in q1 2005 and on
24/12 we are expecting 3 or more in q1 2005

so that says to me we are in hypothetically (how definite can you ever be about such things?) in a stronger position with the Q1 2005 sales pipeline than we were 3 months ago when edison was written...

Anyone agree with this assessment?
