I have now weighed the evoq on a neighbours digital scales that have gms to the nearest digit and with no warranties to the accuracy of their device the magic number is 26 gms. The Jx10 as the near rival in the small lightweight high tech fashion niche is as implied by the name 10 gms. So we are 150% heavier so it is no surprise that the weight is absent from qstik website and every press release. I am not sure how much of a problem this will be in marketing the device now that customers can choose from a number of lightweight fashion models already albeit that they do not have the same powerful DSP. Can we be fashionable and in relative terms heavy? answers on a postcard please? We need the feedback from the potential distributors on this?
Looking at the spec for the sony that has a full compliment of dsp and weighs also 10gms I would ask the question if we are touting evoq as such a technical marvel why we are having to use heavier electronics. Is it simply we are including a much heavier battery to get the talk time to 5 hours? Would love someone with more technical expertise than me to explain.
