I wonder what is the ANC/ASA performance of the "best" mobile mass market headset devices?
The Next Generation of The World’s Best-Selling Bluetooth® Headset from Jabra® Has Arrived The Jabra BT500 leads the way with improved design, increased performance and new features The Jabra BTE headsets have achieved international recognition with numerous industry awards including....the CNET Editors Choice award
"A mute function lets users temporarily silence the microphone to speak with someone else or block out a sudden obtrusive sound. " Is this as effective as ASA?
what cnet thought about the ANC performance:
"Reception and clarity were mostly good, but they diminished noticeably when we used the headset outdoors. Likewise, volume was fine, as long as we were in a place without a lot of noise or wind. Callers said they could hear us fine, but they reported similar issues"
and..."Negatives Background Noise - Road noise at highway speeds was very noticable. Although the noise didn't conflict with my conversations, it was obvious to my callers".
At some point in the high end market I see ASA/ANC/SLE mandatory requirements - do others though? (rrp of bt500=£56 without dsp)
