Well, My ambition is to be a 'retired' millionnaire.
So, how to realise this?
Closer counting (because I'd lost track over the past year of what/how much I'd bought) - revealed a holding of circa 0.5 million shares (I've lost a cert of 50k somewhere in the house too).
Meaning? Around £2.35 per share is the MINIMUM price to sell all of them - of which I've no intention whatsoever (I think dividends will be a better source of income than earning interest in a bank).
BUT- I do of course have debts totalling 85 grand (Mortgage, loans, credit cards etc) so selling 50,000 thares at £2 will provide that much (after fees etc).
Hmm, CGT may require me to do that over a few years though.
What is the annual limit for CGT, £19,000 is it or something???
