Today, the second time since Jan 13th, my modem went on the blink. A service phone call said the queue was 10 mins. 6 mins later a very pleasant lady did all the checks needed to arrive at the conclusion that the modem had 'fallen asleep'?. (Whatever that means). Back on line very quickly.
When I ordered the Modem there was a 4 week waiting time for installation. The date and time was fixed for Jan 13th at 2pm. They foned in the morning to check that I had not forgotten and were here for 2 o/c. The other service call (about April) was dealt with in the same efficient manner. How can you equate my experience with BT service ? From the comments on ADFN it would appear that BT are in trouble.
I have TWT fone, 2 set top TV Digiboxes and blueyonder cable modem. (£25 for 24/7 connection) Needless to say, I also have some TWT shares.
Their £10 per month unlimited dial up is also excellent value. Cheers.
