Never mind the job opportunities or lack of them at BGY

For your information because I know that you like to keep your ear to the ground and know what is happening in the world :-

I happened to think that their working environment was very crowded and with very little natural light which I do prefer. I mentioned working from my more pleasant and less crowded surroundings at my home but they indicated that was a very definite no no. Sitting in the traffic for 30 minutes each way is not my idea of a productive way to spend my day, having a laugh on this website and playing around on the markets is however!

I also have very little interest in taking a permanent job for £35K per anum when one is much more accustomed to earning over £100K as a freelance consultant when one works for somebody else (albeit there are very few of those opportunities available at this time anywhere in Europe or the US doing the bits and pieces that I do). It also fits far better with ones travelling and scuba diving interests.

On the plus side some exposure to NETA trading wouldn't have been bad for the old career if I decide to go back into IT consulting in the future that is, but the name 'British Energy' would not have looked very special on ones resume next to many many quality names! One also got the impression that BGY was the sort of place that would require 4 signitures (taking a week to obtain them) on a document before a single idea could be approved - not what one is used to at all.

I guess I'll just have to continue to day trade the VOD for 500 to 1000GBP per day on average when I decide to place my trades because I wouldn't wish to over trade it!

Working from home with nobody to answer to but myself is a much more pleasant way to spend ones time and earn ones crust!!
