Though at the same time, with so many car and truck makers looking into and developing so many alternative-fuel vehicles at present, there remains a fourth possibility - that some big car/truckmaker will beat Tanfield to it, and emerge with some competitive range of all-electric vehicles of their own, and with the scale to proceed sooner than Tanfield, bypassing whatever patents Tanfield might own..

Tanfield vehicles will have done all the trialling, proving the concept and costings, but someone else will muscle in and take the orders.

I think that is probably unlikely in the short-term, and that we will see Smith vehicles selling in numbers ahead of that happening. But that's only guesswork.
