Ian Wright has launched an extraordinary attack on Sven Goran Eriksson, describing the England manager as having "as much passion as a f***ing tadpole" and claiming he is obsessed with "s****ing as many women as he can."
Wright, the former England striker whose son, Shaun Wright-Phillips, is expected to be in the Three Lions' squad for the World Cup, has decided to skip the bit about this being the season of goodwill and instead opted to let rip at the Swede for being, erm, Swedish.
"I want our manager to understand what it means to people to beat England and what it means to English fans to lose. Everybody wants to beat England and that's what the manager can't get hold of. He's Swedish for crying out loud," Wright told The Sun.
"The man's like a wet fish. He’s got as much passion as a f***ing tadpole. He's useless.
"It's really hard for me because my son plays for England. Sometimes when I speak to him he says 'Dad you’ve got to ease off a bit' and I say 'Shaun, I've got to talk as an England fan'.
"As an England fan, I say he's not good enough to be managing the country. And if he doesn’t pick Shaun because of what I'm saying then he's a bigger you-know-what than I thought he was."
The gallant Wright is also apparently concerned at Sven's influence on the easily-influenced young ladies at Soho Square.
"He's corrupting all the women in the office at the FA. It seems what he's doing is s****ing as many women as he can.
"If he put as much attention into the team as he does in the office, we might be doing a little bit better."
