Superscape becoming Supercharged?
Helen Troy - Mon, 01 Jan 07 :
Yes, happy and healthy new year to all. If its prosperous as well, that's a bonus.
Thanks for that repeat of the Gameloft post TBH.
Gameloft had 44% of revenues from US in 3Q, and stated end October US was providing 50% of revenues then. Over the 9 months, US had provided 42% of revenues. So you could estimate that last year US may have only provided 33% or so of revenues. That would give about €16m from the US.
Based on their €68m outlook for the year, the US will provide €19.14m in 4Q, and added to the €10.65m in the first 3Q, gives a year contribution from the US of €29.79, which is indeed close to double the US contribution from last year.
Now there are two possible reasons for such healthy growth.
a) They are getting into a market they were not in before (but they did €16m of revenue from there last year).
b) The market is growing very fast in the US.
Hectorp.
There is a disimilarity between SPS and Gameloft. At half year end, SPS was getting 91% of its revenues from the Americas, whereas Gameloft was getting 40% or so from North America, and maybe 10% from South America(18% fromm South America and Asia). So if b) above is the reason for the growth, SPS will actually better Gameloft's overall growth, which is forecast at 35% Q4 over Q3.
It will be very interesting to see how things pan out.
My £8.5m forecast is a base case, and I think there will be a reasonable reaction to that. It is quite possible they will beat that, with an even better reaction to that.
Good luck all,
HoT
