Potential Bidders ??
Although I stand by my favourite Infospace as a winning bidder for SPS, MForma / vir2l are the companies behind the 2d version or ducati extreme so they have to had dealings with SPS on the extreme 3d version me thinks.
Los Angeles-based MForma, another publisher sometimes mentioned as an IPO candidate, has collaborated with Activision, Atari, Universal Pictures, Viacom (VIAB) and Hasbro (HAS), among others. MForma has yet to announce plans to develop in 3D.
Yahoo's (YHOO) games unit -- which publishes popular, keep-it-simple titles like "Solitaire," "Pyramids" and "Dominoes" -- hasn't yet announced plans to develop 3D games, but its brand and Internet traffic make it capable of attracting a wide audience of paying customers.
"[Yahoo] will be one to watch in casual games, because carriers already know they have 20 million customers waiting to be leveraged off the Internet," said Palley. "Even big publishers can't even muster those numbers."
