Sunday Telegraph business comment confirms booming on-line sales. TMN to benefit
Smelgy - Sun, 28 Dec 03 :
Good evening all!
Today's Sunday Telegraph business supplement confirmed suspected on-line Christmas shopping figures as "bumper".
To quote:-
"Online retailers have had a bumper Christmas. Amazon.co.uk (one of TMN's merchants) reports that it had the busiest day in its history in the run up to December 25, when it shipped 300,000 items.
Tesco.com (another of TMN's clients) also reported strong sales, with 500,000 orders placed in December. The UK's largest online retailer delivered 150,000 turkeys and 1 million mince pies in the month.
It has been a record Christmas for internet shopping. We did more sales this Christmas than we did in the whole of 1999, said John Browett, the chief executive of Tesco.com."
I just wanted to post this new thread and point out that themutual.net (TMN) is well placed to post record results from now on. As a sop to those who think I am ramping this stock, I won't come back on this or make any more comments until this stock hits my forecast of 1p by next June, and then 5p by the end of 2006.
For now I'll leave you with the above.
Happy New Year all!.
