SUNDAY JOKE THREAD - POST THEM HERE!
mi££ions - Tue, 01 Jan 02 :
In the light of European integration and the fact that English is the international business language it has been announced by the European Parliament that certain alterations are to be made to make it easier and consistent for peoples within Europe whose first language is not English. The Germans have recently scrapped the bizarre ‘B’ like squiggle in favour of the more internationally acceptable double ‘s’.
For starters, the pair of consonants ‘th’ causes much confusion for certain groups within Europe and this will henceforth be replaced with ‘d’ at de start of a word and ‘s’ at de end. De vowel ‘e’ at de end of a word causes many problems as dis is often pronounced ‘ee’ or de more internationally understood ‘ir’ (as in ‘me’ or ‘we’). In future dis will be spelt as ‘ir’. ‘ea’ has many pronunciations and will bir replaced wis ‘a’. Deir is also confusion from ‘w’ which most Europans pronounce ‘v’. Vir vill also adopt dis. A ‘t’ at dir irnd of a vord vill bir svapped for an ‘s’. An irxisting vord irnding vis an ‘s’ vill in future irnd vis ‘st’. ‘Oo’, ‘o’ and ‘a’ vill bir svapped fur ‘u’ und ‘c’ vill bir svapped fur ‘k’. Ist das klar? Gut!
